Under roulette rules, the wheel must be spinning anti-clockwise whenever play is active but the ball must spin in a clockwise direction on the track around the outside of the actual wheel. The idea is that the ball will eventually drop into a tray marked with a number when it loses momentum against the wheel. At the moment that the ball drops, all players that have bet on the correct number or colour, and in some cases both, are declared winners. The croupier has to call the winning number and colour out loud and point to the winning tray before completing the payment of all winning bets.

The Variations of Roulette Rules

Roulette rules are literally that simple but there are minor variations between versions of the game. All rule variations are based around the role of the tray with 0 in it. 0 is the house number when you play European roulette so the house wins if the ball lands on that. You can bet on the 0 if you choose and then you will also win. However, if you play by American roulette rules then there will be a 0 and a 00 on the wheel. Both numbers belong to the house in order to increase the chances of the casino winning. The deviations from the basic roulette rules are that simple and so make playing incredibly easy no matter what your casino experience!
